Iā€™m a woodwork who creates simple, clean, and (mostly) well made furniture using a combination of hand and power tools. My work is intendend to be functional everyday pieces that tackle themes of communication, connection, and intimacy.

In my early 20ā€™s my grandfather passed away and my brother and I were able to look through his things and pick out what we wanted. I chose some clothes and a double edged safety razor. I used that safety razor for quite a few years and each time I did I was reminded of him and the times that we spent together.

The concept of everyday objects as a representation of memories and emotions that we get to experience over time is what drives my work. It allows me to process and reprocess those experiences over time. As I grow, my relationship with the object and those experiences and emotions grow and change.
